The chapter meeting will open at 9:30 a.m. EDT with microphones turned on for socializing. The business meeting will begin at 9:45 a.m., followed by the presentation at 10:00 a.m. Pre-register for the Zoom meeting.

Beth Finch McCarthy will present “Indiana Jones and the AAS: How to Research National Treasures at the American Antiquarian Society.” The American Antiquarian Society in Worcester is one of our nation’s best-kept secrets, and we are fortunate to have it in our own backyard. The archive is a treasure-trove of all things printed in America from 1640–1876, from pamphlets to books to newspapers. This presentation will give you an overview of its rich and varied collection, as well as details on how to research its holdings remotely. About Beth Finch McCarthy, genealogist at BFM Research, LLC. Beth is a professional genealogist who solves genealogical puzzles and teaches family history research. She specializes in family history compilation and colonial New England records. She holds a certificate from the Genealogical Research program at Boston University’s Center for Professional Education and is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. As for her personal family story, Beth’s eclectic line comprises English Puritans and Merchant Adventurers from the 1600s, New York Pioneers and Revolutionary Patriots from the 1700s, and Dutch Farmers and Swedish Industrialists from the 1800s. Beth earned her undergraduate degree in Economics at Wellesley College and has a background in training and development. She currently lives in Northborough, Mass., and owns her business, BFM Research.
