WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN AND HOW, A GENEALOGISTS’ MANTRA
The Annual Meeting will be November 6, 2021,
This event will be free for members OR would cost $25.00 for non members (so join us for the day and you will get a year’s membership).
We invite you to join our virtual presentation. The day will include society business, chapter announcements, Members Contribution Stories, with a focus on your ancestors who worked or participated, between 1933 and 1940, in any of the New Deal Programs. Michael Straus will be presenting his lecture named “The New Deal : Putting your Ancestors to Work.” Please share any documents that show your ancestor was involved in a New Deal Program. Come have some fun in our Genealogy Escape Room, which will be presented by Thomas MacEntee.
Member Contribution Stories
Did you have an ancestor who worked or participated in any of the New Deal Programs between 1933 and 1940?
Major Federal Programs and Agencies of the following:
Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) National Industry Recovery Act
Civilian Works Administration Social Security Administration (SSA)
Farm Security Administration (FSA) Tennessee Valley Authority
Share your research, tell us their name, their lineage line to you, what New Deal Program they worked for or benefited from, any information you have found on how their lives were impacted by the New Deal. You may include a photo or newspaper article with your submission.
