Many genealogists barely scratch the surface of what Google has to offer. This presentation offers tips & techniques for doing more efficient research utilizing Google’s full capabilities and discusses Google Alerts, Google Books, Google Maps, Google Translation, Google Images, and more.

Katherine R. Willson of Dexter, Michigan is an engaging & dynamic genealogy lecturer at local, regional, and national conferences such as RootsTech, the National Genealogical Society, and the Federation of Genealogical Societies. Her board positions have included founder and past president of the Virtual Genealogical Association, past President of the Michigan Genealogical Council, and past member of the Association of Professional Genealogists’ Board of Directors. Katherine is an educator who teaches beginning, intermediate, and advanced genealogy classes in Michigan since 2001, and she works full-time as a professional researcher for private clients. Her passion for genealogy combined with practical and creative strategies keeps Katherine’s audience fully engaged in her energetic and entertaining presentations. Participants leave with the tools necessary to do their own research, as well as the inspiration to do it!
