Shared Matches and Genetic Networks: The Power Tool of DNA Matches

Shared matches are the common matches between two DNA relatives. All major companies offer a shared match tool or the equivalent. The powerful shared matches tool can solve recent unknown parentage, verify ancestral lines, and solve difficult or distant ancestral mysteries. Learn the basics of how to use the shared match tool and solve genealogical mysteries!

She uses DNA techniques to solve unknown parentage and brick wall ancestor problems. Andrea has attended the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh for many years, and completed an 18-month program in professional genealogy (ProGen). She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogist, National Genealogical Society plus several other state genealogical societies.
